Released previously as One Last Time
Grief counselor Claire Devane is a skeptic, one who rejects all notions of the Hereafter.
One day, everything changes. Three clients claim to have been visited by their deceased loved ones. By day’s end, it seems that everyone is seeing ghosts.
Some of the visits are joyful. Others are terrifying. Some visitors appear with love in their hearts, others with malice.
A chance encounter with a deceased billionaire and his family propels Claire into the media spotlight. Soon she becomes an unwilling expert on the visitations, trapped into partnerships with a drug lord seeking an embezzled fortune and a security expert desperate to locate his missing wife.
When her own daughter is kidnapped, she turns to the only help she can find… the dead.
My novel One Last Time has always been a tough book to characterize visually. Some incidents are funny, others are tense and violent; some are heartwarming, others are heartbreaking. I’ve struggled with finding an appropriate cover image and I’ve experimented with a couple.
In February 2017 I decided to do a complete reboot: change the title, change the cover. I enlisted the help of my friend Cindy Vance, licensed a couple more stock photos, and we came up with the cover you see above.
So One Last Time is no more, long live Dances with the Dead!
